The CTD Model A480E - CNC is a computer Numerically controlled
version of the A480E. Instead of using a Precision measuring device for the length measurement, a servo controlled linear actuating cylinder determines the length stroke. A small touch screen function center prompts the operator through the different functions and set-ups on the machine. The automatic length feed and controlling air circuit are operated by an electronic programmable controller for easy service.

The A480E uses our time tested 400 Series saw head offering assured
precision cutting. Three independent holding vises are used, one to
feed the material, and one on each side of the blade. The vises are
keyed and movable front to back for easy adjustment of different
widths of material.

The A480E - CNC includes all the standard features and specifications of the A480E, but differs in the feed mechanism and control panel.

Material Feeding Mechanism: The feed vise mechanism uses a precision controlled electro-mechanical linear actuator with with ball screw, servo motor and encoder.  This allows quick, easy set-up and multiple stroking of linear actuator for longer lengths. Standard single stroke is 12".

Actuation & Controls: Uses a small touch screen operator interface to set length, blade offset, kerf and other controlling functions of the machine.
